About Us

W’s Concealed Handgun Licensing & Training offers a full schedule of concealed handgun courses approved by the state of Texas. Located at Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine, Texas, W's Concealed Handgun Training and Licensing's experienced and certified staff has the knowledge and skill necessary to help you become licensed to carry a concealed handgun in the state of Texas.

The staff at W's Concealed Handgun Training and Licensing includes the following:

Jim Wolfe-Chief Range Safety Officer, NRA Training Counselor, Small Arms Instructor.
Jim taught his first firearms class in June of 1961 to USMC Reserves. He is also certified as an Instructor in, Home Firearm Safety, Personal Protection. Jim is a Concealed Weapon Inst., a Federal Fires Dealer, Holster Maker, Glock-Armorer and Gunsmith.

 Jim Wolf

Roy Plumlee is a retired mechanical engineer, Retired US Army Warrant Officer (Ordinance) CWO4. Roy holds the following NRA Certifications; Chief Range Safety Officer, Pistol, Rifle & Shotgun, IDPA Certified Range Safety Officer, TPWD Hunter Safety Instructor, TXDPS Concealed Handgun Licensing Instructor. He is also an NRA “Master” for both the service rifle & pistol. Holder of the US Army “Distinguished Rifle & Pistol Badges. He is an active firearms competitor.

 Roy Plumee

Ed Waynick- is Licensed by the Texas Commision on Law Enforcement Standards & Education as a Master Police Officer, Classroom & Firearms Instructor. He is NRA Certified in Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun & Range Safety Officer. TXDPS Certified as a Concealed Handgun License Instructor & Security Officer Training. Ed is also a Certified IDPA Safety Officer and Texas Parks & Wild Life Hunter Education Instructor. He is active firearms competitor.
